Water is the best beverage to quench your thirst and the only one which is essential. You should drink at least a litre and a half a day during and between meals, as such or in the form of hot drinks (tea, herbal tea, etc).
You can consume ordinary water, or mineral water which can be a good way to consume more minerals such as calcium or magnesium.
Sweetened drinks (sodas) should be avoided due to the high amount of sugar they contain.
If you drink fruit juice, 100% fruit juice without added sugar is preferred, to absorb most of the fruits’ benefits.
