The website www.alvityl.sg (hereinafter the “Website”) is published by Laboratoires URGO (hereinafter referred to as “URGO”).
The purpose of the Website is to provide information on the products and services of Alvityl.
In the course of managing the Website, URGO collects personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”) relating to the Website’s visitors (hereinafter referred to as the "Users") protected under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
This Personal Data Protection Policy is intended to inform the Users regarding how URGO collects, uses and discloses Personal Data provided by the Users through the Website. This Personal Data Protection Policy may vary from time to time and the Users are invited to check it regularly. Any significant changes to this Personal Data Protection Policy will be clearly indicated on URGO home page.


Article 1. DEFINITIONS

The Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the “PDPA”) is intended to govern the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data by organizations in a manner that recognizes both the right of individuals to protect their personal data and the need of organizations to collect, use or disclose personal data for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
For the purpose of the PDPA, “Personal Data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or, from that data and other information to which the organization has or is likely to have access, such as full name, NRIC Number, passport number, photographs and CCTV images, personal mobile telephone number, personal e-mail address, name and residential address.


Article 2. NOTIFICATION, PURPOSES AND CONSENT

URGO will collect, use and disclose Personal Data of the Users through the Website for the following purposes:

  • Enabling the Users to use the Contact Us form on the Website whereby they can submit to URGO requests, queries and / or complaints;
  • Responding requests, queries and / or complaints from the Users;
  • Complying with any request from governmental authorities, public authorities or agencies, public Ministries, and the like;
  • Conducting research and measuring the audience of the Website, and for procuring statistics on the use of and visits to the Website;
  • Storing the Personal Data of the Users;
  • Any other purposes which URGO will notify the Users of and seek the consent of, if applicable, on or before collecting, using and / or disclosing Personal Data.
By clicking the “send” button, the User consents to URGO collecting, using and disclosing Personal Data of the User for the aforementioned purposes.


Article 3. DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal Data may be disclosed within URGO, to any of its existing or future related or associated companies or to any other third party in order to satisfy the purposes for which the Personal Data have been collected.
Personal Data may also be transferred outside Singapore in accordance with the requirements of the PDPA.


Article 4. PROCEDURE FOR COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA

Personal Data is collected directly from the Users, when they register using the Contact form. If the fields of the Contact Us form are not filled in, the requests or queries of the User in question cannot be processed.

About Children
The Website is not intended for children under the age of 13. We will not knowingly collect Personal Data from Users in this age range. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the Internet and the information they disclose on the Website.


Article 5. ACCURACY AND UPDATING OF PERSONAL DATA

URGO will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the Personal Data collected is accurate and complete in the event that the collected Personal Data is used to make decisions that affect the Users. In this respect, Users must update URGO of any changes in their Personal Data initially provided to URGO.
In no event shall URGO be held responsible for relying on inaccurate or out-dated personal information as a result of the User not updating URGO of any changes in Personal Data.


Article 6. SECURITY

URGO will protect the Personal Data in its possession by making reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification and disposal of Personal Data.
However, URGO will not assume any responsibility for any unauthorized use of User’s Personal Data by third parties beyond URGO’s control.


Article 7. RIGHTS OF THE USERS

In accordance with the provisions of the PDPA, URGO grants the Users access to their Personal Data that URGO has in its own possession or under its control and allows the Users to correct any error or omission in their Personal Data that is in the possession or under the control of URGO.
The Users have the right to withdraw her/his consent to the collection, use and / or disclosure of her / his Personal Data.


Article 8. TIME FOR WHICH THE COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA IS KEPT

URGO will permanently remove, delete or erase User’s Personal Data in its possession and / or anonymize said Personal Data, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that (i) the purpose for which that Personal Data was collected is no longer being served by retention of said Personal Data; and (ii) retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.


Article 9. REQUESTS, QUERIES AND COMPLAINTS

Should the Users wish to:

  • Send URGO any queries on URGO’s Personal Data Protection Policy or request information on how URGO processes, manages and protects their Personal Data;
  • Withdraw their consent to the collection, use and / or disclosure of their Personal Data by URGO;
  • Exercise their rights under the PDPA to access and / or correct their Personal Data;
  • Address any complaint regarding how URGO deals with their Personal Data;

Users are invited to indicate in the subject header the nature of the query (“PDPA Access Request” if the request is related to an access request, “PDPA Complaint” if the request is related to a complaint, etc.).


Article 10. COOKIES

Browsing on the Website may cause cookies to be installed on the User’s computer. A cookie is a file installed on the User’s terminal that records information relating to the User's browsing on a Website. The data obtained in that way is aimed at facilitating subsequent browsing on the website and also serves to enable various visit/hit measurements to be taken.

Reproduction of a page of the Website in a context external to URGO or inserting a page belonging to URGO is prohibited.

The Users who wish to establish a hypertext link to the Website www.alvityl.sg must obtain express prior authorisation from URGO to be requested by mail at the address indicated above.
